In the 1861 Census William and Harriett are shown living in Thrupp. Williams profession is listed as Cordwainer.
In both the 1871 & 1881 Census William and Harriett are living in American Row, Bisley. William's profession has bean revised to Boot Maker.
In the 1901 Census they have moved to Chalford from where William was operating a Cobblers. Of the children only Della and Amy are still at home. Also staying with them is a grand-daughter; Jennie Flower (b. 1895 Glamorgan)

Edgar Leopold has the dubious and yet unique distinction of being the youngest ever inmate of Gloucester Goal.
In 1870 he and his brother Joseph were birched and sent to prison for a week after being caught stealing sweets from a local shop.

For years we've believed that the young lady was Alexina (Jeannie) and it was only as I came to make the web page that I realised this couldn't be since the boys would be older than she.
